Acid etched glass

Also known as frosted glass and etched glass.
Various techniques are used to etch glass.
The glass can be exposed to hydrofluoric acid.
Ground glass can be fired onto the surface or the glass can be blasted with a fine grit.
Hand Obscuring, the process of grinding the surface of the glass, with a fine grinding paste.
The glass surface becomes opaque because of the thousands of scratches.
Looks and sounds easy but you can get a sweat up.
